Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Santosh Iyer, born on December 6, 1994, is a distinguished Indian international cricketer known for his role as a right-handed middle-order batsman. Currently serving as the vice-captain of the Indian ODI team, Iyer has become a cornerstone of India's batting lineup through his elegant stroke play and tactical acumen. He made a remarkable Test debut in November 2021 against New Zealand by scoring a century and followed it with a half-century in the same match, becoming the first Indian to achieve this feat on debut. Iyer played crucial roles in India's victories in the 2023 Asia Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, in which he was also named ICC Men's Player of the Month in February 2022 and March 2025.
