
Nitish Kumar Reddy
Kaki Nitish Kumar Reddy, born on May 26, 2003, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, is a promising right-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm medium-fast bowler who represents India in international cricket. He began his domestic career with Andhra, making his first-class debut in January 2020. Nitish quickly rose through the ranks, impressing with both bat and ball in domestic competitions, including the Vijay Merchant Trophy where he scored a record quadruple century of 441 runs. He caught the attention of IPL scouts and was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2023 IPL auction. In the 2024 IPL season, he won the Emerging Player of the Year award by scoring 303 runs with a strike rate of 142 and also contributed with wickets, showcasing his all-round abilities.
Nitish made his T20 International debut for India on October 6, 2024, against Bangladesh, where he played an impactful innings and followed it with a player of the match performance in the series. He made his Test debut during the 2024-25 Border–Gavaskar Trophy, scoring a crucial maiden century at number 8 in Australia, becoming the first Indian to do so. His ability to bend the game with both bat and ball has made him a valuable asset for India.
