Vikramjit Singh

Vikramjit Singh, born on January 9, 2003, in Cheema Khurd, Punjab, India, is an Indian-born Dutch cricketer who made his debut for the Netherlands national cricket team in 2019 as a left-handed opening batsman.

Singh's early life was marked by his family's migration between India and the Netherlands. His grandfather, Khushi Cheema, fled India following the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and eventually settled in the Netherlands, where he established a transport company. The family moved back and forth between the two countries before settling permanently in the Netherlands when Singh was seven years old. Singh's cricketing journey began when he was spotted by Netherlands captain Peter Borren at the age of eleven, who convinced him to play club cricket for VRA Amsterdam. He received private coaching from Borren and Amit Uniyal, attending Uniyal's academy in Chandigarh for several years.

Singh's junior career included representing the Netherlands national under-19 cricket team at the 2019 Under-19 World Cup Europe Qualifier, where he finished as the second-highest run-scorer behind Scotland's Tomas Mackintosh. He made his debut for Netherlands A at the age of 15 and was named in the Netherlands' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2019–20 Ireland Tri-Nation Series. He made his T20I debut for the Netherlands against Scotland on September 19, 2019.

In his senior career, Singh made his List A debut for the Netherlands A team against the Ireland Wolves in May 2021. He was later named in the Dutch One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against Scotland and made his ODI debut against New Zealand on March 29, 2022. In July 2023, Singh scored 110 against Oman in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, helping the Netherlands win by 74 runs and securing their place in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
