Rishad Hossain

Rishad Hossain, born on 15 July 2002 in Nilphamari, a northern district of Bangladesh, is an emerging cricketer known for his skills as a right-handed batsman and a leg spinner.

In March 2023, Hossain received his first call-up to the Bangladesh national cricket team for the T20I series against Ireland. He marked his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut on 31 March 2023 against Ireland, showcasing his talent with a six off the third delivery he faced in international cricket.

In December 2023, he was selected for Bangladesh's white-ball tour to New Zealand and made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 20 December 2023 against New Zealand. Hossain made an impactful entry into ODI cricket by hitting a six off the first delivery he faced, becoming the second Bangladeshi player after Shamim Hossain to achieve this feat.

In February 2024, Hossain was named in Bangladesh's limited-overs squad for the series against Sri Lanka. During the 3rd T20I, he showcased his batting prowess by scoring his maiden half-century in T20I cricket, amassing 53 runs off 30 balls. Notably, he set a record by hitting 7 sixes in the match, the most by a Bangladeshi batter in a men's T20I.

On 28 March 2024, Hossain achieved another milestone by claiming his maiden five-wicket haul in List A cricket during a match against Brothers Union in the 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, further solidifying his potential as a promising all-rounder in Bangladesh cricket.
