Tanzim Hasan Sakib

Tanzim Hasan Sakib, born on October 20, 2002, is a Bangladeshi cricketer known for his skills as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He represents Sylhet Division in domestic cricket.

In his cricketing career, Sakib's talent shone through as he progressed from passing the selection at Moulvibazar District Stadium to join the under-13 national team while studying in class VIII. He further enhanced his skills by completing a three-month bowling course at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and gaining admission to BKSP. Representing Bangladesh at the under-17 and under-19 levels in international tournaments, Sakib's dedication and hard work led to his qualification in A cricket for the Sports Education Institute cricket team in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2018-19 tournament.

Sakib's professional cricketing journey began with his List A debut for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. He continued to make significant strides, being named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and making his first-class debut for Sylhet Division in the 2020–21 National Cricket League. His Twenty20 debut came in 2021 for Abahani Limited in the Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League.

Noteworthy achievements include his selection in Bangladesh's team for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and his subsequent ODI debut against India in the 2023 Asia Cup. In November 2023, Sakib was chosen for Bangladesh's tour to New Zealand, where he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against New Zealand on 27 December 2023.
