Marcus Stoinis
Marcus Stoinis is a powerful and highly-regarded batting all-rounder for the Melbourne Stars, often serving as a key opener or top-order batsman. He is the Stars' second-highest runs scorer of all time. A right-hand batsman who bowls right-arm medium, Stoinis was the BBL Player of the Season in BBL|09 and, at the time, set the highest-ever BBL score with 147 runs off 79 balls. This record was later broken by his teammate, Glenn Maxwell.
Nicknamed 'The Hulk,' Stoinis is known for his explosive power-hitting and effective swing bowling, making him a formidable component of the Australian limited-overs team. His international career includes a career-defining 146 not out and three wickets in his second ODI against New Zealand. He has been a pivotal figure in Australia's T20 World Cup triumph in 2021 and has played in numerous T20 franchise leagues worldwide.
