Tanveer Sangha is an exceptionally talented young Australian leg-spin bowler of Indian descent who quickly rose to national prominence through his captivating performances in the Big Bash League for the Sydney Thunder. He made his BBL debut in BBL|10 and finished as the competition’s third-highest wicket-taker that season, setting a record for the most wickets by any spin bowler in the tournament. Sangha earned a swift call-up to the Australian national T20I squad in 2021 and made his international debut in 2023, claiming the best figures by an Australian on T20I debut in nearly two decades.

Known for his control, deceptive drift, and ability to spin the ball both ways, Sangha has become the Thunder's primary wrist-spin option, possessing the temperament of a veteran despite his youth. His impressive domestic form led to him being included as a travelling reserve in Australia's victorious 2023 ODI World Cup squad. Tanveer is a key part of the next generation of Australian spin bowlers and remains a crucial, economical, and wicket-taking asset for the Sydney Thunder.
