Anshul Kamboj, born on 6 December 2000 in Karnal, Haryana, is a promising right-arm medium-fast bowling all-rounder known for his tall frame and consistent domestic performances. A right-handed batter and an aggressive seam bowler, he made his first-class debut for Haryana in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy. Since then, he has played 22 first-class matches, taking 74 wickets at an average of 22.66, including two five-wicket hauls and a rare 10-wicket innings (10/49). With the bat, he has scored 410 runs, often contributing crucial lower-order runs for his team.

Kamboj rose to prominence in the 2022–23 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he took 17 wickets in 10 matches at a superb economy of 3.58, playing a key role in helping Haryana clinch their maiden title. His biggest breakthrough came during the 2024 Ranji Trophy, when he became only the third bowler in history to claim all ten wickets in a single innings, dismantling Kerala with figures of 10/49. He carried that form into the 2024–25 Duleep Trophy, where he was the highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets and earned the Player of the Series award representing India C.

His domestic exploits caught the attention of IPL franchises, and after a brief stint with Mumbai Indians in 2024, he was signed by Chennai Super Kings for ₹3.4 crore in the 2025 Mega Auction. He picked up 10 wickets in 11 IPL matches, showcasing his temperament in high-pressure environments. Most recently, Kamboj was called up as an injury replacement for Arshdeep Singh in India’s Test squad for the fourth Test against England, marking a significant step forward in his burgeoning career and underlining his readiness for the international stage.
