Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is a passionate and aggressive right-arm fast bowler who has carved a crucial role for himself in India’s pace attack across formats. Born in Hyderabad, Siraj’s journey from humble beginnings to international cricket is a story of perseverance and grit. He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy and burst onto the scene with a 41-wicket haul in the following season, earning an IPL contract and national attention for his raw pace and energy.

Siraj made his international debut in 2017 but truly announced himself during the 2020–21 Test series in Australia. Thrust into the playing XI after multiple injuries in the squad, he stepped up with heart and discipline, finishing as India’s leading wicket-taker in the series and playing a vital role in India’s historic series win. Since then, he has become a regular in India’s red-ball team and has delivered impactful spells in ODIs as well, including a memorable 6 for 21 in the 2023 Asia Cup final that dismantled Sri Lanka in the powerplay.

In the IPL, Siraj has matured into a dependable spearhead, consistently delivering for Royal Challengers Bangalore before being picked up by Gujarat Titans in 2025.
