Kagiso Rabada, born on 25 May 1995, is a South African international cricketer known for his right-arm fast bowling and ability to perform across all formats of the game. He made his international debut in limited-overs cricket in November 2014 and his Test debut in November 2015. Rabada quickly rose to prominence, topping both the ODI and Test bowler rankings by January 2018 at the age of 22. In July 2018, he became the youngest bowler to take 150 wickets in Test cricket, and he has since been recognized as one of the best Test bowlers of his generation. Rabada has taken hat-tricks in all three cricket formats and holds multiple records, including being the youngest South African to take a ten-wicket haul in a Test match. He was a key member of the South African team that won the 2025 ICC World Test Championship final, marking the country's second ICC title. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including multiple Cricket South Africa player of the year awards and recognition as the best young player in the world by Wisden in 2018.

Rabada has also had a significant impact in the Indian Premier League (IPL), playing for Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, where he became the purple cap winner in 2020 by taking 30 wickets in 17 matches. In 2025, he was signed by Gujarat Titans as a key part of their bowling attack. With over 200 international appearances and more than 550 wickets across formats, Rabada is regarded as a dominant force in world cricket. He has consistently maintained excellent bowling averages and strike rates, and he became the second-fastest bowler in terms of balls to reach 250 wickets, later setting the record for the fewest balls to 300 Test wickets. He has achieved milestones such as his first five-wicket haul at Lord's in 2022, becoming the fourth South African to do so since the country's readmission to Test cricket. Rabada continues to be a pivotal player for South Africa in international cricket, known for his pace, skill, and match-winning performances.
