Harry Brook

Harry Cherrington Brook, born February 22, 1999, is an English international cricketer who plays across all formats and currently captains England’s ODI and T20I teams. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Brook represents Yorkshire domestically. He made his international debut in January 2022 and quickly established himself as a prolific batsman, scoring 809 runs in his first six Test matches with an exceptional average of 80.90 and a strike rate near 100. Brook was a key member of England’s 2022 T20 World Cup-winning squad and has topped the ICC Test batting rankings as of December 2024.

Brook’s rise began early as captain of England’s Under-19 team during the 2018 U19 Cricket World Cup, where he was the leading run-scorer and named the squad’s rising star. Since his senior debut, he has delivered multiple standout performances, including a record-breaking 317-run triple century in a 2024 Test against Pakistan—the first by an Englishman in 34 years. He holds records for rapid scoring milestones and high partnerships, notably with Joe Root. In September 2024, Brook was appointed stand-in captain for the ODI series against Australia and scored his maiden ODI century. On April 7, 2025, he was officially named captain of England’s ODI and T20I sides, cementing his role as a central figure in English cricket’s future.
