Jewel Andrew

Jewel Andrew, born on 7 December 2006 in Antigua, is a young right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who plays domestic cricket for the Leeward Islands and Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. He made his List A debut in November 2023 at age 16 and was a standout performer in the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, scoring 130 runs off 96 balls in the opening match against South Africa.

Andrew made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the West Indies against Sri Lanka in October 2024 at 17 years old, becoming the youngest West Indies player to debut in ODIs, breaking the previous record held by Xavier Marshall. He gained early recognition through impressive performances in age-group cricket and the Caribbean Premier League, where he became the youngest-ever debutant and scored a fifty on debut. Andrew is regarded as a prodigious talent with a wide range of shots, including the reverse sweep, and has been mentored by senior players like Shai Hope.
