Sherfane Rutherford

Sherfane Eviston Rutherford, born on 15 August 1998 in Guyana, is a dynamic left-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler who represents the West Indies internationally and plays for various domestic and franchise teams worldwide. He made his T20 International debut for the West Indies against Bangladesh in December 2018 and his One Day International debut in December 2023 against England.

Rutherford began his domestic career with Guyana in first-class and List A cricket and quickly made a mark in T20 leagues globally. He was the leading run-scorer for the West Indies B team in the 2018 Global T20 Canada tournament, including a blazing 134* off 66 balls. He has played in the Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League, Lanka Premier League, and other franchise tournaments, showcasing his aggressive batting and ability to finish games.

Internationally, Rutherford scored his maiden ODI century in December 2024 against Bangladesh, an unbeaten 113 that included seven fours and eight sixes, helping West Indies secure a five-wicket victory. Known for his explosive batting and power-hitting, Rutherford continues to be a valuable asset for West Indies in limited-overs cricket and is part of their squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
