Shimron Hetmyer

Shimron Odilon Hetmyer, born on December 26, 1996, is a Guyanese cricketer who plays as a top-order left-handed batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He first gained prominence as the captain of the West Indies team that won the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Hetmyer made his international debut in 2017 and quickly established himself with powerful batting performances, including multiple centuries in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and a record as the youngest player to score a century in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). <br He has played for several T20 franchises, including Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he is known for his aggressive finishing. Hetmyer was recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as one of the breakout stars of men's cricket in 2018 and has captained the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL.
