Luke Wood, born on August 2, 1995, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and left-handed batsman who has steadily risen through the ranks of English cricket. He began his professional journey with Nottinghamshire, making his first-class debut in 2014. His early promise was evident when he scored a remarkable century batting at number 9 against Sussex, showcasing his capabilities as a lower-order batsman. Over the years, Wood has developed a reputation for his ability to swing the ball back into right-handers, making him a valuable asset in various formats of the game.

In 2020, Wood transitioned to Lancashire, aiming to bolster his prospects for international selection.
