Romario Shepherd

Romario Shepherd, born on 26 November 1994 in Guyana, is a right-arm fast-medium bowling all-rounder who plays domestic cricket for Guyana and represents the West Indies internationally. He made his List A debut in 2016 and his international debut for West Indies in November 2019 in an ODI against Afghanistan. Shepherd is known for his effective death bowling and powerful lower-middle-order batting.

He has played in various T20 franchise leagues, including the Caribbean Premier League (Guyana Amazon Warriors), Pakistan Super League (Karachi Kings), Indian Premier League (Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru), and Bangladesh Premier League (Chattogram Challengers). In the 2025 IPL season, playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he scored a rapid half-century off 14 balls, the fastest by an RCB player and joint second-fastest in IPL history.

Shepherd made his T20I debut in January 2020 against Ireland and has been a regular in West Indies limited-overs squads. In November 2023, he was named in the West Indies ODI squad for a series against England, where he contributed with both bat and ball. In May 2024, he was included in the West Indies squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, highlighting his importance as a versatile all-rounder in the team.
