Will Jacks

William George Jacks, known as Will Jacks, born on November 21, 1998, in Chertsey, Surrey, is an English cricketer recognized as a powerful right-handed batter and effective off-spin bowler. Progressing through Surrey’s youth system, Jacks made his professional debut in 2018 and quickly made an impact with aggressive batting, including a match-winning 121 in just his third List A game. He gained widespread attention by scoring a century off 25 balls in a T10 match, one of the fastest in professional cricket, and has been a key player in Surrey’s County Championship wins as well as in The Hundred, where he set the highest individual score in the tournament’s history. Jacks has also played in various T20 franchise leagues, including the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Jacks made his international debut for England in 2022, impressively taking a five-wicket haul on Test debut against Pakistan, becoming the first England spinner to do so since 1993. Despite an injury setback that delayed his IPL debut, he bounced back strongly with impactful performances in domestic T20 leagues and the IPL, including a rapid century in 2024. Known for his versatility as a batting all-rounder, Jacks was named in England’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup and continues to be regarded as one of England’s exciting young talents with the ability to change games with both bat and ball.
