Yastika Bhatia

Yastika Harish Bhatia, born on 1 November 2000 in Vadodara, Gujarat, is a left-handed wicket‑keeper batter who has rapidly risen to become one of India’s key top‑order players in women’s cricket. She first made her mark in domestic cricket at the age of 17, scoring a blistering 131 off 156 balls for Baroda Under-19s in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy, which announced her as a technically sound and aggressive batter. Her consistent performances for Baroda, along with tidy wicket-keeping skills, earned her a place in the National Cricket Academy camp in 2018 and later a stint with India A and the West Zone side.

Yastika made her international debut across all three formats on India’s demanding 2021–22 tour of Australia and immediately staked a claim in the middle order. In her first ODI series she finished as India’s second-highest run-scorer with 102 runs from three innings, underlined by a composed 64 off 69 balls that helped India chase 265, their first successful 250-plus run chase and a win that ended Australia’s record 26 match ODI winning streak. Since then she has represented India in Test, ODI and T20I cricket, and has been part of major events including ODI and T20 World Cups as well as the Commonwealth Games, where she won a silver medal with the national team.
