Alice Capsey

Alice Rose Capsey is a young English all-rounder who plays for Surrey, Oval Invincibles, Delhi Capitals, and Melbourne Stars. A right-handed batter and right-arm off-break bowler, she made her international debut for England in July 2022. Capsey quickly established herself as a dynamic player, winning the inaugural PCA Women's Young Player of the Year award in 2021 and impressing in major tournaments such as the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where she was England’s highest run-scorer despite playing with a black eye. She has delivered notable performances in domestic leagues including The Hundred, Women’s Big Bash League, and the Women’s Premier League, where she was bought by Delhi Capitals and has been a key contributor with both bat and ball.

Capsey’s international career has progressed rapidly, with strong showings in T20Is and ODIs, including Player of the Match awards in the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the 2023 Women’s Ashes series. Despite a broken collarbone in late 2022 that sidelined her temporarily, she returned to form and continues to be a vital member of England’s squad. She is named in the squads for upcoming major events including the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, the 2024 tour of South Africa, and the 2025 Women’s Ashes series in Australia, marking her as one of England’s brightest cricketing talents.
