Bree Illing

Breearne Grace Illing, born on September 29, 2003, in Auckland, New Zealand, is an exciting left-handed batter and left-arm medium-fast bowler who plays for the New Zealand national women's cricket team and Auckland Hearts domestically. Bree has been involved in New Zealand cricket from a young age and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Exercise Science and Biology from the University of Auckland. She balances her academic pursuits alongside her cricket career.

Illing made her domestic debut for Auckland in the 2021–22 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and has since been recognized for her bowling and batting capabilities. She rose through New Zealand’s under-19 setup, earning selections for the New Zealand A team and making her senior international debut in 2025 during the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Bree impressed with two wickets in only her second T20I and quickly became known for her composure and impact performances. In 2025, she was awarded her maiden central contract by New Zealand Cricket for the 2025–26 season and remains one of New Zealand's promising young all-rounders with a bright future ahead.
