Izzy Sharp

Isobel Grace Sharp, born on December 1, 2004, in Timaru, New Zealand, is a promising right-handed batter and wicket-keeper for the New Zealand women's cricket team, known as the White Ferns. She represents Canterbury Magicians in domestic cricket and has also played for teams like New Zealand A Women, South Island Women, and New Zealand Women Under-19. Sharp captained the NZ U19 team at the World Cup in January 2023 and made her Canterbury debut in February 2022 as cap #239. Her international breakthrough came with a White Ferns call-up for the T20I series against Sri Lanka in March 2025.

Sharp debuted in T20Is on March 14, 2025, against Sri Lanka at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, and has since played 11 T20Is, scoring 105 runs with a highest of 29, and 5 ODIs for 45 runs with a top score of 25. In limited-overs cricket, she bats lower-order while contributing as a wicket-keeper, with some sources noting right-arm medium-fast bowling skills. By age 21, she earned a spot in the ODI squad after Lauren Down's injury, showcasing her rapid rise through age-group and domestic ranks. Currently ranked #435 in T20I batting, Sharp remains a dynamic all-round prospect for New Zealand.
