Lauren Filer

Lauren Filer is a dynamic English fast bowler known for her raw pace and aggressive style. Born on December 22, 2000, in Bristol, she began her domestic career with Somerset in 2018 and later played for Western Storm, Welsh Fire, London Spirit, and currently Manchester Originals. Filer made her international debut for England in June 2023 during a Test match against Australia. She has since represented England across all formats, including ODIs and T20Is. Notably, she was named Player of the Series in the 2023 ODI series against Sri Lanka, taking eight wickets and showcasing her ability to trouble batters with her speed and bounce.

Filer's journey to international cricket wasn't straightforward. After completing a sports science degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University, she faced challenges balancing work and cricket, even losing her job at Tesco during The Hundred tournament.
