Mahika Gaur

Mahika Gaur, born on 9 March 2006, is a left-arm medium bowler who currently plays for Manchester Originals and the England cricket team. Remarkably, she began her international career with the United Arab Emirates, making her WT20I debut at just 12 years old in 2019. Gaur represented the UAE in multiple international tournaments, including the ICC Women's Qualifier Asia and the Women's Asia Cup, where she was the leading wicket-taker for her team. She also excelled in the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, taking 11 wickets at an exceptional average. In late 2022, she played in the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, contributing with both bat and ball.

Domestically, Gaur signed with Manchester Originals for The Hundred in 2022 and progressed through the North West Thunder Academy to their full squad in 2023, earning a part-time professional contract through 2024. She took notable wickets across domestic competitions and was named the PCA Women's Young Player of the Year in 2023 for her outstanding performances. In 2023, Gaur was selected for England’s A squad and later the senior squad for the Sri Lanka series, making her ODI debut in September 2023 with an impressive three-wicket haul. She was awarded a development contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board in December 2023, marking her as a rising star in English cricket.
