Issy Wong

Isabelle Eleanor Chih Ming Wong, born on 15 May 2002, is an English fast-medium bowler who plays for Warwickshire, Central Sparks, Birmingham Phoenix, Mumbai Indians, and the England national team. She has also played for Southern Vipers in the Women's Cricket Super League and Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League. Wong made her England debut in June 2022 after progressing through the England Academy, where she played against Australia A in 2019 and was part of the 2019/20 squad. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she was among 24 players selected to resume training, one of three uncapped players alongside Lauren Bell and Emma Lamb.

Wong was involved with the England squad as a net bowler and traveling reserve before being named in England A's squad for the 2021–22 Australia tour. In June 2022, she was added to England’s Test squad for their match against South Africa, making her Test debut on 27 June 2022. She quickly followed this with her WODI debut in July 2022, taking three wickets in her first match, and made her T20 International debut later that month. Wong was also part of England’s squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games and was awarded her first central contract in November 2022, marking her as a key player in England’s women’s cricket setup.
