Jahzara Claxton

Jahzara Keanna Chloe Claxton, born on 12 March 2006, is a multi-talented athlete from Saint Kitts and Nevis who excels in both football and cricket. In football, she plays as a forward for Newtown United FC and the Saint Kitts and Nevis women's national team, having scored multiple goals at youth and senior levels. In cricket, she is a left-handed batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler representing the Leeward Islands and made history as the first female cricketer from both Saint Kitts and the Leeward Islands to be selected for the West Indies Under-19 women's cricket team.

Claxton participated in the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup and made her senior debut for the Leeward Islands in 2023. Recognized nationally for her achievements, she received financial support from the Saint Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Sports and was honored as one of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens by the National Assembly. Beyond cricket and football, Claxton has also competed in track and field, showcasing her diverse athletic talents. She is regarded as a rising star with ambitions to join the West Indies senior cricket team and continue her growth in regional and international competitions.
