Jitesh Sharma

Jitesh Mohan Sharma is a 30-year-old Indian international cricketer who plays as a right-handed wicket-keeper batter. He represents Vidarbha in domestic cricket and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sharma made his List A debut for Vidarbha in the 2013-14 Vijay Hazare Trophy and his first-class debut in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy. He was the leading run-scorer for Vidarbha in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 298 runs in seven matches. Sharma's impressive performances in domestic cricket and the 2023 IPL season widened his international prospects. Sharma made his international debut for the Indian national team on October 3, 2023, during the 2022 Asian Games against Nepal. He was later called up to the Indian T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka in January 2023 and the Australia T20I series in 2023. Sharma scored 35 runs off 19 balls in the fourth T20I against Australia and 24 runs off 16 balls in the fifth T20I. He was considered a strong contender for India's 2024 T20 World Cup squad.
