Nuwanidu Fernando

Muthuthanthirige Nuwanidu Keshawa Fernando, commonly known as Nuwanidu Fernando, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer born on October 13, 1999, in Colombo. He is a right-handed top-order batsman who has made significant strides in both domestic and international cricket. Nuwanidu made his first-class debut for Panadura Sports Club in December 2016 and quickly rose through the ranks due to his consistent performances, including being the leading run-scorer for Sri Lanka in the 2018 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. He also played for several domestic teams, including Sinhalese Sports Club and the Colombo Stars in the Lanka Premier League.

Fernando made his ODI debut for Sri Lanka in January 2023 against India and has shown promise with notable innings, including a half-century on debut. His domestic career highlights include multiple centuries and strong performances in the Lanka Premier League and other domestic tournaments.
