Rinku Singh

Rinku Khanchand Singh is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a left-handed middle-order batter. He represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Singh made his IPL debut for KKR in 2022 after being retained by the franchise. He had an impressive season, earning his first Man of the Match award for scoring 42 runs off 23 balls against Rajasthan Royals. In April 2023, Singh achieved a record-breaking feat in an IPL match against Gujarat Titans, scoring five sixes in the final over to successfully chase down 29 runs – the highest-ever chase in the last over in IPL history. Singh made his international debut for India in August 2023 in a T20I against Ireland. He scored 38 runs off 14 balls in the second match of the series. In November 2023, Singh was named in India's squad for their tour of South Africa. He scored his maiden T20I half-century of 68* against South Africa in December 2023. Singh made his ODI debut against South Africa in the same series, scoring 17 runs and taking the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen. He played a match-winning knock in the second ODI against South Africa. In January 2024, against Afghanistan, Singh and Rohit Sharma stitched a 190* run partnership, which is India's highest run partnership in T20Is and the highest for the 5th wicket in the world. In May 2024, Singh was named as a reserve player in India's squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.
