Dilpreet Bajwa

Dilpreet Singh Bajwa is an India-born cricketer who now represents Canada as an all-rounder. Born on April 1, 2001, in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India, Bajwa completed his education at Guru Arjun Dev Senior Secondary School in Dhariwal before his family immigrated to Canada in 2020.

Bajwa's cricketing journey took an interesting turn when his family decided to move to Canada after he was not selected for the state team in India. This decision proved to be a blessing in disguise, as Bajwa has since gone on to represent the Canadian national team.

In September 2023, Bajwa received his maiden call-up to the Canadian national team for the 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Canada on September 30, 2023, against Bermuda.

Bajwa's impressive performances continued, and in February 2024, he was named in Canada's One Day International (ODI) squad for the series against Nepal. He made his ODI debut on February 10, 2024, against the same opponents.

Bajwa's rise in the Canadian cricket setup has been rapid, and in May 2024, he was named in Canada's squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, further cementing his place as a key player for the national team.
