George Dockrell

George Henry Dockrell, born on 22 July 1992 in Dublin, is an Irish all-rounder known for his right-handed batting and slow left-arm orthodox bowling. He has represented Ireland internationally since 2010, making his debut in T20Is and ODIs that year and his Test debut in 2019. Dockrell developed his cricket at Leinster Cricket Club and played county cricket for Somerset from 2011 to 2015.

Throughout his career, Dockrell has been a key player for Ireland, contributing both with bat and ball across formats. He was the leading run-scorer and wicket-taker in the 2018 Inter-Provincial Cup and has been awarded central contracts by Cricket Ireland. Dockrell has played over 130 ODIs and 140 T20Is, taking more than 100 wickets in ODIs and maintaining an economy rate under 5. He has also been involved in leadership roles, captaining Ireland Wolves in 2021. In 2024, he signed a short-term white-ball contract with Lancashire, continuing his domestic career alongside international duties.
