Harmeet Singh

Harmeet Singh Baddhan is an Indian cricketer who, after playing for Mumbai and Tripura domestically in India, moved to the United States to participate in Minor League Cricket. Through his residency in the US, Baddhan subsequently qualified to represent the United States national cricket team, making his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for the USA in 2024.

Baddhan's cricketing journey began in India, where he was part of the India Under-19 cricket team that participated in the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He also had the opportunity to be a member of the Rajasthan Royals squad during the 2013 Indian Premier League.

Domestically in India, Baddhan was the leading wicket-taker for Tripura in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with 13 dismissals in 8 matches. In August 2021, he made the decision to move to Seattle, where he now captains the Seattle Thunderbolts in Minor League Cricket.

Baddhan's move to the United States and his subsequent qualification to represent the national team has opened up a new chapter in his cricketing career. In March 2024, he was named in the United States' squad for their T20I series against Canada, and he made his international debut for the USA on April 7, 2024, against the same opponents.

Baddhan's transition from playing domestic cricket in India to representing the United States national team showcases his adaptability and commitment to the sport. As a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he will be looking to use his experience and skills to contribute to the growth and success of cricket in the United States.
