Jasdeep Singh

Jasdeep 'Jessy' Singh is an American cricketer who made his debut for the U.S. national side in May 2015. He is a right-arm medium-pace bowler who bats right-handed.

Singh was born in Queens, New York, to Punjabi parents. When he was three years old, his family moved back to India, but they returned to the United States and settled in New Jersey when Singh was 13 years old.

Domestically, Singh has played for various clubs in New Jersey and New York City. He took a hat-trick for a Cricket League of New Jersey representative side against Minnesota in 2012. Singh also represented the Central West Region team at the 2014 National Championships in Florida.

Singh's international career began in 2015 when he was called into the U.S. national squad for the 2015 Americas Twenty20 Championship. He was one of only four American-born players in the team, though he featured in only one match during the tournament.

Singh was retained in the U.S. squad for the 2015 World Twenty20 Qualifier, where he made his Twenty20 debut against Nepal. In February 2019, he was named in the United States' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against the United Arab Emirates, which marked the first T20I fixtures played by the U.S. national team.

Singh's international career continued to progress, and in April 2019, he was named in the United States' squad for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia. The U.S. team finished in the top four places, gaining One Day International (ODI) status, and Singh made his ODI debut against Papua New Guinea.

In the following months, Singh was selected for the United States' squads for the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier tournament and the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament, further cementing his place in the national team.
