Mitchell Santner

Mitchell Josef Santner, born on February 5, 1992, is a prominent New Zealand international cricketer and the current captain of New Zealand’s limited-overs teams (ODI and T20I) as of 2025. A talented left-handed all-rounder, Santner bowls slow left-arm orthodox spin and is known for his ability to contribute significantly with both bat and ball. He made his international debut in 2015 and has since been a key figure in New Zealand cricket, playing a crucial role in their campaigns including the 2019 Cricket World Cup where New Zealand finished as runners-up. Santner has a reputation for tactical acumen and composure under pressure, earning leadership roles and guiding New Zealand to the final of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as captain.​
