Noor Ahmad

Noor Ahmad Lakanwal, born on January 3, 2005, is a promising Afghan cricketer who burst onto the international scene in June 2022, making his debut for the national cricket team. His cricketing journey began with his first-class debut for Kabul Region in the 2019 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on April 29, 2019. Noor showcased his skills in the shorter format as well, making his Twenty20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights in the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League on October 8, 2019.

In December 2019, Noor was named in Afghanistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, highlighting his potential at a young age. His talent was recognized globally when he was signed by the Melbourne Renegades for the 2020–21 Big Bash League season in Australia at the age of 15. Noor's journey continued with stints in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Chennai Super Kings and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.
