Usman Khan

Usman Khan, born on May 10, 1995, is a talented Pakistani cricketer who has made a mark in the cricketing world. He made his international debut for Pakistan in the T20I format on April 18, 2024, showcasing his skills on the international stage. In addition to representing Pakistan, Khan is also a key player for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.

Hailing from Farooqabad, a village in the Sheikhupura District, Khan's cricketing journey began in the Sialkot region. In pursuit of better opportunities, he moved to Karachi in 2012 and joined the Pakistan Cricket Club, where he played under the leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed. Khan excelled as an opening batsman and wicket-keeper, impressing in Ramzan cricket tournaments and earning recognition at the Moin Khan academy, where he was honored with the Player of the Tournament Award. His performances caught the eye of Nadeem Omar, leading to his selection in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In 2020, Khan made a move to Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he worked in the purchasing department of a gas distribution company. Despite his professional commitments, he continued to pursue his passion for cricket, taking on roles as a security guard and storekeeper while actively participating in domestic cricket in the UAE.

Khan's domestic career saw him make his first-class debut for Karachi Whites in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on October 9, 2017. He also made his Twenty20 debut for Quetta Gladiators in the 2021 Pakistan Super League on March 3, 2021. In November 2022, Khan was signed by the Chattogram Challengers for the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League, where he made a significant impact by scoring a maiden century, guiding his team to victory.

Notably, on March 11, 2023, Khan achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a century off just 36 deliveries in the Pakistan Super League, setting a record for the fastest century in the league. His exceptional performances continued in PSL 9, where he scored two more centuries and amassed 430 runs in just 7 matches for Multan Sultans, boasting an impressive average of 107.5.

Khan's stellar performances earned him a call-up to the Pakistan national team, and he joined the team's training camp at Kakul, Abbottabad in April 2024. He made his international debut for Pakistan on April 20, 2024, against New Zealand during their 2024 T20 tour of Pakistan. With his talent and dedication, Usman Khan is poised to make a significant impact in the world of cricket and contribute to Pakistan's success on the international stage.
