Zane Green

Zane Green is a core member of Namibia’s national cricket team, serving as a dependable left-handed wicketkeeper-batter with over a decade of experience in the setup. A product of Windhoek High School, he rose to prominence as the captain of the Namibia Under-19 side, leading them to a historic seventh-place finish in the 2016 U19 World Cup. Since making his senior international debut in 2019, Green has become a fixture in both ODI and T20I formats, known for his agile glovework and his ability to anchor the lower middle order. With over 940 ODI runs and nearly 70 international dismissals to his name, he provides the Richelieu Eagles with essential stability and veteran leadership on the global stage.

In the most recent competitive cycle, Green has proven to be a clutch performer, most notably guiding Namibia to a sensational shock victory over South Africa in October 2025. During this historic one-off T20I, he smashed an unbeaten 30 off 23 balls, including the winning runs on the final delivery to inaugurate the new Namibia Cricket Ground. His versatility was further showcased in the 2025 ICC CWC League 2, where he recorded a resilient 65 against the USA, and his consistent form helped Namibia secure qualification for the 2026 T20 World Cup. As of early 2026, he remains one of the premier wicketkeeper-batters in Associate cricket, consistently delivering under pressure and serving as a vital 'X-factor' for Namibia’s aspirations in upcoming ICC tournaments.
