Josh Inglis
Josh Inglis is an English-born Australian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. Born in Leeds, England, Inglis moved to Australia with his family when he was 14 years old. He made his first-class debut for the Cricket Australia XI in 2015 against the West Indies and has since established himself as a key player for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers in domestic cricket.
Inglis' breakthrough season came in 2019-20 when he scored 405 runs in the Big Bash League, including four half-centuries. His impressive performances earned him a call-up to the Australian national team, and he made his international debut in a T20I against Sri Lanka in February 2022. Inglis has since gone on to represent Australia in both T20Is and ODIs, and was a member of the squad that won the 2021 T20 World Cup, although he did not play in the tournament.
In 2023, Inglis was selected in Australia's squad for the ODI Cricket World Cup and scored a crucial 58 runs off 59 balls in their third match against Sri Lanka. He has also enjoyed success in domestic T20 cricket, scoring two centuries for Leicestershire in the 2021 T20 Blast tournament. With his versatility as a wicket-keeper-batsman and his ability to score runs quickly, Inglis is expected to play a key role for Australia in the coming years as they look to build on their recent success in limited-overs cricket.
