Annabel Sutherland

Annabel Jane Sutherland, born on October 12, 2001, in East Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, is a dynamic all-rounder who plays for the Australian national cricket team. She bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast seam, combining power and pace with impressive control. Making her professional debut at just 15 years old for Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), she quickly drew attention as one of the youngest talents in the league. Sutherland has also represented Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) and subsequently moved to the Melbourne Stars. Her consistent domestic performances earned her a T20I debut for Australia in February 2020 against England, followed by her ODI debut in October 2020 and Test debut in September 2021.

Sutherland’s rise has been notable for several landmark achievements, including becoming the first woman to score a Test century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during the 2025 Ashes series. She also recorded an impressive double century (210 runs) in a Test match against South Africa in 2024, marking her as the youngest Australian woman to achieve this feat.
