Annerie Dercksen

Annerie Dercksen, born on April 26, 2001, in Beaufort West, Western Cape, South Africa, is a talented right-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm medium-fast bowler for the South African women's cricket team. Raised on a farm in a rural area, Annerie’s passion for cricket grew from playing with her family, particularly her brother. She transitioned from spin bowling to seam bowling during her university years and quickly rose as a promising all-round talent.

Annerie made her WT20 International debut in January 2023 during a tri-series against India and the West Indies and was part of the South African squad for the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held at home. She earned recognition for her balanced skills in both batting and bowling, showcasing great control and flair. In May 2025, she scored her maiden ODI century (104 off 84 balls) against Sri Lanka in Colombo. She was shortlisted among the top candidates for the ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2024, indicating her growing influence in international women's cricket. Annerie continues to be a rising star for South Africa, balancing batting resilience and bowling consistency to contribute significantly to her team.
