Anushka Sanjeewani

Anushka Meegama Acharige Sanjeewani, born on January 24, 1990, in Galle, Sri Lanka, is a key right-handed batter and wicket-keeper for the Sri Lankan women's national cricket team. She made her One Day International (ODI) debut against India on January 23, 2014, and has since been an important figure in Sri Lanka’s batting and wicket-keeping lineup. Sanjeewani played in major tournaments such as the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup and the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. She was also named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games cricket tournament and the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Known for her steady batting and sharp wicket-keeping skills, Anushka has contributed significantly in both the ODI and T20 formats, accumulating over 500 runs in ODIs and over 760 runs in T20Is, with impressive strike rates in the shorter formats. She has been praised for her role in stabilizing the middle order and her ability to handle pressure situations effectively.
