Emma Lamb

Emma Louise Lamb, born on 16 December 1997, is an English batting all-rounder who plays for Lancashire Women, North West Thunder, and Birmingham Phoenix. She bowls right-arm off spin and made her international debut for England in September 2021. Lamb has a strong domestic career, having been Lancashire’s junior player of the year twice and becoming the first woman to play in the Cheshire County Premier League. She was awarded an England rookie contract in 2020 and was among the 24 women allowed to resume training during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lamb was one of three uncapped players in the England training squad alongside Lauren Bell and Issy Wong.

Lamb’s international career progressed rapidly after her T20I debut against New Zealand in August 2021. She was named in England’s A squad for the 2021–22 Australia tour and made her WODI debut during the Women’s Ashes series. In 2022, she was part of England’s squad for the Women’s Cricket World Cup and made her Test debut against South Africa in June. Lamb scored her first WODI century in July 2022 against South Africa and was awarded her first England central contract in November 2022. Known for her consistent batting, she has been a key player in England’s limited-overs setup.
