Nilakshika Silva

Nilakshika de Silva, full name Nishshanka Nilakshika Damayanthi Silva, born on September 27, 1989, in Panadura, Sri Lanka, is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler who plays for the Sri Lankan women's cricket team. She made her One Day International (ODI) debut on November 3, 2015, against New Zealand and has been an important middle-order batter and occasional bowler for Sri Lanka across formats.

Known for her steady batting and ability to anchor innings, Nilakshika has played over 48 ODIs and 100 T20 Internationals for Sri Lanka, accumulating over 900 runs in ODIs with a batting average around 27 and scoring 3 half-centuries. She also has a T20I record of more than 1,100 runs. Along with her batting, she contributes occasionally with the ball, delivering right-arm medium pace. Nilakshika has participated in key tournaments including the ICC Women's World Twenty20, the Women's T20 World Cup 2020, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her dependable performances with the bat and valuable experience make her a vital part of Sri Lanka's women's cricket setup.
