Nishita Akter Nishi

Nishita Akter Nishi, born on June 19, 2008, in Khulna, Bangladesh, is a highly promising young cricketer who plays as a right-arm off-break bowler for the Bangladesh women’s national cricket team. Trained at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), she took 13 wickets in nine matches for BKSP in the 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Women's Cricket League, showcasing early signs of her talent. Nishita made her first-class debut in March 2023 in the Bangladesh Women's National Cricket League.

She was selected as a stand-by player for the Bangladesh women’s under-19 team for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup and made her international ODI debut for Bangladesh in November 2023 against Pakistan. Following this, she was included in Bangladesh's squad for the ODI series against Australia in March 2024 and as a reserve player in the T20I squad for the series against India in April 2024. Nishita is regarded as an emerging young talent with great potential to become a key bowler for Bangladesh women’s cricket in the coming years, combining skill and poise beyond her age.
