Nonkululeko Mlaba, born on June 27, 2000, in Durban, South Africa, is a prominent slow left-arm orthodox bowler for the South African women's national cricket team. She made her international debut in September 2019 in a T20I against India and soon became a key player in South Africa’s bowling attack. Mlaba was named the newcomer of the year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards in 2020 and has since been part of important tournaments including the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

She made her Test debut in June 2022 against England and marked a significant milestone by becoming the first South African woman to take a 10-wicket haul in a Test match during a one-off match against England in December 2024. Known for her accuracy and ability to extract spin, Mlaba has also recorded her best international T20 bowling figures of 4/29 against the West Indies in the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, where South Africa finished runners-up. She continues to be a vital part of South Africa’s bowling lineup, balancing skill and consistency as a rising star in women’s cricket.
