Sidra Nawaz

Sidra Nawaz Bhatti, born on March 14, 1994, in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, is a highly skilled wicket-keeper and right-handed batter who plays for the Pakistan women's national cricket team. She made her international debut in August 2014 against Australia in both ODI and T20I formats. Sidra grew up in a cricket-loving family and balanced her academic pursuits at Lahore College for Women University with intense cricket training from a young age.

She is Pakistan’s first-choice wicketkeeper and has represented the country in major tournaments like the ICC Women’s World Cups and Asia Cups, contributing valuable batting cameos and sharp keeping. Sidra scored her maiden international century in an ODI against Sri Lanka in 2021, becoming the first Pakistani female wicketkeeper to do so. Known for her quick reflexes and consistent performances behind the stumps, she holds the record for the most dismissals by a Pakistani female wicketkeeper in ODIs and T20Is.

Sidra's leadership qualities were recognized when she was appointed vice-captain of the Pakistan women's team in 2023. With more than 70 ODIs and 50 T20Is under her belt, she remains a crucial part of Pakistan cricket, inspiring young girls to pursue the sport despite societal challenges. Beyond cricket, she is admired for her sportsmanship, dedication, and advocacy for women's rights in sports.
