Udeshika Prabodhani

Kaluwa Dewage Udeshika Prabodhani, born on September 20, 1985, in Darga Town, Sri Lanka, is a seasoned left-arm medium pace bowler and right-handed batter representing the Sri Lanka women's national cricket team. She made her Women's One Day International (WODI) debut in February 2009 against Pakistan and has been a pivotal part of Sri Lanka's bowling attack for over a decade.

Prabodhani is known for her disciplined left-arm pace bowling, often providing crucial breakthroughs in limited-overs formats. Over her career, she has played 70 ODIs and 105 T20 Internationals, taking 65 wickets in ODIs with best figures of 3/35 and 104 wickets in T20Is with best figures of 3/13. She has also contributed occasionally with the bat in the lower order. Udeshika was Sri Lanka's joint-leading wicket-taker in the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 and was part of squads for important tournaments including the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.Her experience and consistency make her one of the most valuable players in the Sri Lankan team, continuing to play a vital role with her effective bowling and leadership on and off the field.
