Kyle Alex Jamieson, born on December 30, 1994, in Auckland, New Zealand, is a towering 6'8 right-arm fast-medium bowler and lower-order batsman. He is the tallest cricketer to represent New Zealand internationally. Initially a batting all-rounder, Jamieson transitioned to fast bowling under the guidance of Dayle Hadlee. He made his domestic debut for Canterbury in 2016 and gained attention in 2019 with record-breaking T20 bowling figures of 6/7 in the Super Smash.

Jamieson made his international debut in February 2020 against India, excelling in both ODIs and Tests. In his Test debut series, he claimed his first five-wicket haul. A key figure in New Zealand's pace attack, Jamieson played a pivotal role in their victory at the inaugural ICC World Test Championship Final (2019–2021), where he was named Player of the Match for taking seven wickets, including a five-wicket haul.

Domestically and internationally, Jamieson has been a consistent performer. He was the fastest New Zealander to reach 50 Test wickets and earned recognition as part of the ICC Men's Test Team of the Year in 2021. Despite injuries sidelining him for much of 2023 and early 2024, he returned strongly in domestic cricket. His ability to generate bounce and control makes him a standout bowler for New Zealand across formats.
