Dewald Brevis

Dewald Tobias Brevis, born on April 29, 2003, is a South African cricketer known for his explosive right-handed batting and occasional leg-spin bowling. He plays domestically for the Titans and is part of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Brevis holds records for the highest T20 score in South Africa, with 162 runs, and the fastest 150 in T20 cricket globally. He first gained international attention during the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup by scoring a record 506 runs and being named Player of the Tournament.

Brevis made his international T20 debut for South Africa on August 30, 2023, against Australia but had a modest start. After spending time refining his skills domestically and in franchise leagues, he was recalled to the national T20 squad in 2025 following strong performances in the IPL. Dewald Brevis is considered a promising young talent for South African cricket with a growing presence across international and franchise cricket formats.
