Nandre Burger

Nandre Burger is a South African left-arm fast-medium bowler known for his pace and ability to swing the ball, making him a challenging prospect for batsmen. Born on August 11, 1995, in Krugersdorp, Burger began his professional career with Gauteng, making his first-class debut in 2016. He quickly established himself as a key player in domestic cricket, becoming the leading wicket-taker for Gauteng in the 2017–18 Provincial One-Day Challenge and the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. Despite facing challenges like a lumbar stress fracture that kept him sidelined for over a year, Burger has shown resilience and determination to return to top form.​

Burger made his international debut for South Africa in December 2023 across all three formats within a span of two weeks, impressing with his bowling figures early on. He was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals for the 2024 and 2025 IPL seasons, where he impressed as an injury replacement by taking seven wickets in six games during the 2024 IPL. Known for his consistency and ability to deliver under pressure, Burger has become a notable figure in South African cricket both domestically and internationally. His skillful left-arm pace bowling, combined with his evolving experience in T20 leagues worldwide, have made him an important asset for South Africa's bowling attack.
