Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill is an Indian international cricketer who represents the Indian cricket team across all three formats. He is the captain of the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League and plays for Punjab in domestic cricket. Gill holds several records, including being the youngest cricketer to score a double century in ODIs, the highest individual T20I score for India, and the fastest to reach 2000 runs in ODIs (38 innings). Gill made his international debut in 2019 and has since established himself as a key player for India across formats. In Tests, he has scored 1492 runs in 25 matches, including 4 centuries. In ODIs, he has amassed 2271 runs in 44 matches at an average of 61.38, with 6 centuries and 13 fifties. In T20Is, he has scored 335 runs in 14 matches, including a century. Gill's breakthrough came in the 2018 U-19 World Cup, where he was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 372 runs at an average of 124. He has since gone on to win the IPL Orange Cap in 2023 with 890 runs, the second-highest total in IPL history. Gill was appointed as the captain of Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2024. Some of Gill's notable performances include a crucial 91 in the fourth Test against Australia in 2021 that helped India win the series, a match-winning 102* against Pakistan U-19 in the 2018 U-19 World Cup, and a double century against New Zealand in January 2023, becoming the youngest to achieve the feat in men's ODIs.
